GUIDELINES FOR RESUMPTION OF TRAINING

 

  • Reminder to all members: Do NOT visit if you have:

  • Fever or symptoms of respiratory infection (cough, sore throat, shortness of breath).

  • Returned from overseas/interstate - please adhere to the current government guidelines for isolation.

  • Been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 (coronavirus) - please adhere to the current government guidelines for isolation.

 

WHAT YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO BRING WITH THEM:

 

  • Drink bottle (containing water only) clearly labelled with the child’s name.

  • Own hand sanitiser.

  • Personal gymnastics equipment specific items e.g gym grips, own chalk, and chalk bag (bag will be provided at first training) etc.

  • Ensure that your child arrives with washed feet and clean clothing, ready to train/participate, although changerooms will be available.

  • Thongs/slides as these will be required when moving between apparatus and when using the bathroom areas.

We kindly remind attendees that there will be no sharing of personal belongings permitted under these current circumstances.

 

ENTRY AND EXIT PROTOCOLS:

 

  • Please limit spectator numbers to one spectator per gymnast. 

  • Please QR code on arrival or write your name and contact phone/email for contact tracing purposes.

  • Gymnasts/spectators are not to congregate in the entry/exit area by the toilets.

  • Hand sanitation is available at entry and exit points and attendees are required to sanitise their hands at these stations.

  • Bollards inside the door will clearly define entry / exit once inside the building. Members and spectators are to sanitise hands upon entry and gymnasts move immediately to the area in front of the grandstand and wait on a cross. Spectators can take their seats in the lower portion of the grandstand.

  • Entry and exit will be one-way, exit will be via gate near the waiting area and along the passage behind the grandstand.

It is important that we adhere to the methodology of 'get in - train - get out'.

 

SESSION PROTOCOLS:

 

Prior to each session, gymnasts are to sit/stand on one of the crosses on the ground while waiting and a coach will spray sanitiser on their feet before entering the gym floor.

A parent/coach with a valid working with children check will help direct gymnasts.

Gymnasts are to sanitise their hands in between each apparatus used.

Gymnastics equipment, high touch points and toilets are cleaned at the end of each day.



 

TOILETS AND CHANGE ROOM PROTOCOL:

 

Our bathrooms will facilitate a maximum of 1 participant allowed to use the toilet facilities at one time. Gymnasts/spectators are to only use the toilet facilities located near the waiting area and adhere to any signage or requirements set by the RGA. All gymnasts are to wear their own shoes when going to toilet facilities. We ask that hands are appropriately washed before exiting the toilet facilities.


 

IN THE POTENTIAL EVENT OF A COVID-19 CASE, THE FOLLOWING WILL OCCUR:

 

If we are made aware of a positive case that has been in contact with our venue/ participants/staff, we will seek government health advice.

The club will have ensured that SA Health via HealthCommunicableDiseases@sa.gov.au has been notified so they can trace any contacts of this person and contain the spread.

As required, we will close the premises for a dictated period. We will ensure a full environmental and disinfection clean. We will open doors and windows to further increase airflow.

SA Health will likely ask for our attendance records to assist with this process.

SA Health will assess whether other staff, participants or contractors may have been exposed to COVID-19, and direct them to self-quarantine at home.

Member contact information will be supplied to SA Health in the event it is requested.

We will communicate with members via email when it is safe to return.
